emonstrated in the word study below, is an example of the enemy's proactive agenda to undermine all of Yahuwah's prophetic precepts relating to His most holy days of worship. By simply obscuring Yahuwah's system for determining when His holy days fall via proactive falsehoods by the scribes, the whole world is captured unawares. We were warned in Daniel 7:25 that Satan's target would be the Creator's time-keeping system and His laws. So this should not come as an overwhelming surprise.

New Comprehensive Word for Word Analysis:
Jeremiah 8:8-9
Verse 8How do we determine for ourselves, wise administrators of the torah's prophetic precepts and Yehovah's sign markers? Behold, indeed lies have been instituted and maintained by the pen of the scribes through deceitfulness.
Verse 9Cunningly and skillfully, they have confused, abolished, and captured each. Behold, they despised and rejected the things pertaining to the signs of Yehovah, shrewdly, and with purpose, they prudently did according to this cause.
Commentary:
In verse 8, the question is raised by Jeremiah as to how mankind is to determine who are wise administrators and who are not with regards to the Bible’s prophecies and sign markers for Yahuwah’s appointed holy times of worship. Most likely this question is raised so that an explanation may be given according to divine will, and not so much that Jeremiah wants to know. The sign markers refer to the specific events that occur for worship as beaconed by the holy appointed times of the moon on lunar dates. The signs themselves are all the holy appointed feast days for worship as given in Leviticus 23, and Ezekiel 46:3 on the specific appointed times. The New Moon day Feast; the Seventh-day Sabbath Feast; Feast of Passover; Feast of Unleavened Bread; Feast of Pentecost; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Day of Atonement; Feast of Tabernacles.
Ezekiel 20:12 gives verification that indeed the Sabbaths are all signs. “Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.” Notice this does not isolate the seventh-day Sabbath alone as a sign of sanctification, but rather includes all the Feast Sabbaths working together toward a sanctified heart and restoration to the heavenly Father.
The two basic differences between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant are these:
The Old Covenant was ratified with the blood of animals that the law be written on stones. Illustrating that mankind upon the earth, holding one half of the covenant agreement, has no power to restore themselves back to the Father, but is accomplished by His grace alone. On the other hand, the New Covenant that commenced at the cross was ratified with the blood of our Saviour and Creator that His laws may be written on our hearts. This is the mechanism designed to be worked out in the heavenly Sanctuary whereby His righteous attributes are traded with ours, that we might receive His righteousness. This illustrates that it is by the ministration of Yahushua in the work of the heavenly Sanctuary that there is real power to restore us into His image and change our stony hearts into their intended purpose.
God teaches that we should assemble in His house to cultivate the attributes of perfect love. This will fit the dwellers of earth for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for all who love Him. There they will assemble in the sanctuary from Sabbath to Sabbath, from one new moon to another, to unite in loftiest strains of song, in praise and thanksgiving to Him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever. Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 6 p. 368.
It appears that this question is raised by Jeremiah because lies have been instituted and maintained by the pen of the scribes through deceitfulness. Therefore, how is anyone able to know what is true and what is in error?
In Matthew 5:18, Yahushua has given a promise, “. . . Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” So, here we have it from our Saviour, that nothing shall be changed or removed in the Hebrew text. This is because jots and tittles are only found in Hebrew, and do not apply to English, Spanish, French, German, or any other language that Hebrew is translated into. By default, the errors arise when translators (scribes) translate from Hebrew into any other language including Aramaic. It is therefore imperative to seek the original text, perhaps nothing short of paleo Hebrew (ancient Hebrew) will be sufficient.
In verse 9, it states that “cunningly and skillfully they (the scribes) have confused, abolished and captured each." What did they confuse, abolish, and capture? It was the “sign markers,” the holy appointed Feast days that occur on the specific appointed lunar calendar dates. According to this verse, it was not ordained of Yahuwah that the holy appointed times and their corresponding feasts be done away at the cross or ever. As defined by this verse, it was the enemy, through the deceitful and lying scribes, who are behind the elimination of these most holy appointed Sabbath Feast days.
God is true. He reigns, and will reign, notwithstanding that the church and the world have entered into a confederacy to abolish His law. Age after age Satan has been blinding men by his wiles. He has cooperated with human agencies in an effort to make falsehood truth. He has worked with intensity to defy the God of heaven by making His law of none effect. But he has not done this; for in the ark of God in heaven are the tables of stone upon which are written the precepts that are the foundation of His government. And the Sabbath, which God declares to be the sign of the loyalty of His people, is placed in the bosom of the Decalogue. Its sanctity reaches into eternity; for God declares that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, His subjects shall come up to worship before Him in the earth made new. The Signs of the Times 04-07-98, The Sabbath of the Lord, No. 2 PR 12.
So what is it about the holy appointed times and their corresponding feasts that would bring about their so great a destruction by Satan and his aids? Could it be that knowledge of these heavenly ministrative feasts open the human heart and mind to recognize their need of a Saviour, bringing about a full and complete repentance and confession followed by sweet forgiveness? Could it be that a knowledge of the holy appointed times, expose the counterfeit Roman Gregorian calendar and all its counterfeit time-keeping as a fraud, as it is a man-made system of worship standing in opposition of Scripture's times for worship? Could it be that the mask would at last be pulled aside revealing Satan as the one who has by default received worship in the place of Yahuwah on this cunningly devised time-system and all his false feasts?
Refer to article, "Lost in Translation" regarding the translation errors Ezra was called by Yahuwah to restore.
May Yahuwah continue to bless you as you diligently seek Him.
