Historically, when one considers their favorite book of the Bible, Lamentations is not usually the first book of choice. In its title alone the word lament conjures up images of sorrow and weeping, as if by some great tragedy. While this short expose of Scripture only displays 11 verses of chapter 1, it becomes quite obvious that it is no human being that is sorrowing and morning over a great loss.
