FAQ - The Creator's Lunisolar Calendar

Answer:"Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened." Ezekiel 46:1

From this verse the Lord God is declaring that there are three kinds of days that can never overlap according to His time system. Here are listed New Moon days, Sabbath days and regular work days. The description of the gate being open or closed would be similar to a traffic light with all three colors. When it is green, it cannot be either red or yellow. When it is red, it cannot be either yellow or green. When it is yellow, it cannot be either green or red. In this way we discover that the current man made calendar that has been successfully promoted by Rome is out of harmony with the Scriptural model. This is because it utilizes the unbroken cycle of successive weeks, which cause its seventh-day (Saturday) to float throughout the lunar month, and fall on New Moon days. The New Moon days in the same way appear to float through the Gregorian calendar falling on any day of the week.

Notice that according to the criteria of the heavenly Father, and sealed with a, "thus saith the Lord," the New Moon days and Sabbath days can never fall on mere work days. His holy appointed days are identified by an open gate, while the non-holy days are identified by a closed gate. Each day of the year, month and week are defined by this same method.

By default, Roman Gregorian calendation does not meet the heavenly Father's stated criteria, as every day of its year, months and weeks are defined by its unbroken-successive-weekly-cycle. Any calendar or time keeping system that follows this protocol will rotate throughout the lunar month and will never be in harmony with the heavens appointed time-system,as ordained by the Creator. This is because this man-made week causes its daily rotation to spin out of harmony with what our Creator has defined with an open and shut gate.

Answer:There is no Biblical or historical record about wall calendars among the Hebrews. It appears from Scripture that the Israelites were instructed to look to the heavens for their calendation.

According to Scripture, God prepared His calendar prior to creating Adam and Eve, by appointing the sun and moon and stars to rule (measure time) for signs (Sabbaths), seasons (appointed feasts according to the moon, which also includes the Sabbath Lev. 23:2-3), days and years during the fourth day of creation. All they had to do was to look up into the starry heavens for the first visible crescent moon. Their loving Creator left nothing to guess work, but placed in the heavens the sun, moon and stars for measuring time (Genesis 1:14).

seasons = #4150. mowed` or moed`, properly an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically, a festival; conventional a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemnity, synagogue, (set) time (appointed).

What becomes apparent from the Hebrew definitions above in connection with the Scripture verses below, is that the seventh-day Sabbath is both a sign and a season. The implication of this is that the Sabbath, which punctuates the seven-day week of creation is, after all, reckoned by the sun, moon and stars, as specified in Genesis 1:14. In contrast there is no mention in all of Genesis or anywhere else in Scripture that the Sabbath is reckoned by an unbroken cycle of weeks that is wholly disconnected from the only rule of measuring time that is mentioned.

Notice it is the heavenly Father speaking, who says that He gave them the Sabbaths to be a sign.

Here am I and the children whom the LORD has given me! We are for signs (#226 owth) and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion (holy mountain of time). Isaiah 8:18 NKJV

Answer:Each lunar phase has a number value, beginning with New Moon day as #1. The Israelites did not always know in advance from one month to the next, if the current month would be 29 or 30 days in length. If the current month date was the 29th, and there was cloud cover, they could know with certainty that the following day was either the 30th day of the current month or the first day of a new month, referred to as New Moon day. So on occasion, they would keep the next day as if it were the New Moon day to make sure they did not desecrate a holy day. With Astronomical technology available to us today, we can make relatively accurate guesses in advance as to the length of future months. However, I personally believe that in Yahuwah's providence He didn't want the Israelites planning out their year too far in advance, as He wanted them to depend upon Him for their future. What He desired was for them to look up often and be led by Him, in this way putting their calendation trust in Him.

Answer:There is multiple evidence from Scripture, which illustrate that it's true and holy seventh-day Sabbath is indeed set by the New Moon.

Every place in Scripture where calendar dates can be applied to the seventh-day Sabbath, it is always on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, or 29th. It never falls on any other dates. This is not possible when using the Roman Gregorian calendar.

In the story of three consecutive months, the Exodus, the manna, and arriving at Mt. Sinai, the Lord Yahuwah re-clarifies to Israel His time system. It is revealed that in all three months, the seventh-day Sabbaths fall on exactly the same calendar dates (Exodus 12; 16; 19). At the end of Israel's forty year wilderness wondering the book of Joshua clarifies that the manna forever ceased on the day after the Sabbath. The day it ceased was the 16th of the lunar month, making Sabbath the 15th of the month. This final detail by Joshua sheds light on evidence that every month of every year for all forty years, the Sabbath was indeed only located by counting from the New Moon.

The six month length of time between the spring Feast of Unleavened Bread to the fall Feast of Tabernacles reveals that an unbroken cycle of successive weeks is not in harmony with Biblical calendation. This is because both the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Tabernacles always commence on a lunar seventh-day Sabbath. To try to connect both feasts with an unbroken cycle of successive weeks, renders it broken within only these six months, as it cannot fit the Biblical Criteria.

Answer:You are correct that the numbering of the days of the month has nothing to do with numbering for the days of the week with the Gregorian calendar. But this is not true of the Creator's lunisolar calendar. The numbering of the month's calendar dates are always connected to the numbering of the weeks. New Moon day is the 1st of the month. This is then followed by four sets of weeks, each and every month. The first day of the first week is always the 2nd day, which causes the first Sabbath to be on the 8th, and rendering the seventh-day Sabbaths on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of every month. It is this Scriptural evidence that unmasks the lie that unbroken cycles of successive weeks have continued since creation. The New Moon refreshes each new month by breaking the cycle of weeks. In other words the cycle of weeks is broken each and every month by the New Moon day, which the Bible defines as a third kind of day.

Answer:Yahuwah's people today need to follow the example of His people in earlier times when they used His calendar. While it is true that sometimes the pagan months were very long, the Hebrew months were never longer than 30 days and never shorter than 29 days. If no new moon was observed the night of the 30th, the new month began the next day anyway.

"When they saw the new moon, then they began their months, which sometimes consisted of 29 days, and sometimes of 30, according as the new moon did sooner or later appear. The reason of this was, because the synodical course of the moon (that is, from new moon to new moon) being twenty-nine days and a half, the half day, which a month of 29 days falls short of, was made up by adding it to the next month, which made it consist of 30 days; so that their months consisted of 29 and 30 days alternatively. None of them had fewer than 29 days, and therefore they never looked for the new moon before the night following the 29th day; and, if they then saw it, the next day was the first day of the following month. Neither had any of their months more than 30 days, and therefore they never looked for the new moon after the night following the 30th day!' "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And she, being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born." Revelation 12:1-4 KJV

This woman pictured in Revelation 12 is descriptive of Yahuwah's true and faithful people from the beginning of earth's history to the very end of time. She is clothed with the light of the sun, representing truth. The moon is the foundation under her feet as the faithful witness of the Creator's ordained lunisolar time-keeping system. The same time-system used prior to earth's creation and the same one to be perpetually follow in the earth made new (Isaiah 66:23). She is wearing a crown of twelve stars, reminiscent of the salvation's story, as told by the twelve starry constellations. In addition, these twelve halo stars represent the twelve time-centric criteria of the true crucifixion date, Identifying Yahushua (Jesus) as the true Messiah. His faithful people will know without question who they worship, when they worship, and why they worship. There is only one deserving of worship-- He is the creator, the Redeemer/Savior and Deliverer. Each ministration He performs on mankind's behalf is tied to a time-centric holy appointed Feast day. His people will be in one accord with His laws and time system, and in unity with heaven itself and the unfallen worlds.

Each of the celestial terms given in Revelation 12:1 are describing visible lights in connection with the pure woman, His true church. All are reminiscent of the Genesis 1:14-18 Creation account. It is also significant that this verse depicts the moon under her feet because it signifies that the moon is "visible". Nothing can be illustrated if it is invisible, as in the conjunction moon. To be a beacon, the New Moon must be a light.

Answer:Yes! In fact by the providence of the Lord Yahuwah, there are three months in a row, demonstrated in Exodus 12, 16, and 19. He announced the time system to Moses in the First Month of Abib, and then delivered His people from Egypt by night on the 15th after Sabbath was over.

He faithfully fed the Israelites quail by night on the 15th of the Second Month, again after the Sabbath was past. The next morning at sunrise on the 16th, he sent manna from heaven for six days and none on the seventh day - this made the 22nd a Sabbath. If the 22nd day of the month is a Sabbath, then so also is the 8th, 15th and 29th of each month/lunation.

In the Third Month the Israelites arrived at Mt. Sinai by night on the 15th of Sivan. Leviticus 23:15-22 gives us the answer that defines what day of the week this 15th is. The key is in the "count to Pentecost." Since the lunisolar calendar is a fixed to the new Moon the Holy feast days are always on the same days each year. By counting from Wave Sheaf to Pentecost we arrive on the 9th of Sivan which is always the 1st day of the week, thus making the 15th of the month the seventh-day of the week. So for the third month in a row we have the Sabbath on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th day of the month. It is actually impossible to harmonize these detailed dates with an unbroken continuous weekly cycle.

The reason this is possible with the lunisolar calendar is that each month is refreshed with a New Moon day which is followed by four seven day cycles. No days are lost or forgotten like some would suggest, but rather Yahuwah has taken a string of successive days since the time of creation and appointed a rhythm to them. He has mathematically calculated these rhythms, in conjunction with the Sanctuary services of types and shadows, to demonstrate His plan of redemption. It is all divinely synchronized like a Swiss clock.

Answer:This seems logical at first glance; however the Hebrew lunisolar year always began in relation to the Barley Harvest. This was because the "first fruits" otherwise known as the Wave Sheaf offering, necessitated that there be a harvest. Since harvest could never occur in winter, it kept the year always beginning in spring (perhaps mid-spring). When it was obvious that the Barley would not be ready in time for the upcoming "Wave Sheaf Offering", an additional 13th month was added. Even though the lunisolar year falls short it still always occurs in the spring.

Answer:In the 1840's, William Miller, a student of prophetic time and a leader of a great religious awakening around the globe, believed the Lord was to return very soon. Together with Samuel Snow and others, they reckoned from Scripture and ancient Hebrew lunisolar calendation that prophetic 2300 evenings and mornings were symbolic of literal years. They discovered that this prophetic period that began at the time of Artaxerxes' decree was to end in October 22, 1844. While it was to clearly mark the anti-typical day of Atonement and the cleansing of the Sanctuary, it was wrongfully assumed by Miller that this marked the second coming of Christ Yahushua in the clouds of heaven. So because of their error as to the event to take place, they along with all the believers, world wide, experienced what is commonly known today as the "Great Disappointment of 1844." The participants in this religious movement were Christians from all religious faiths and were called "Adventists" because they looked to the soon return or second "advent" of Christ Yahushua. The Seventh-day Adventist church was born out of this great disappointment and was not officially organized until 1863. William Miller died in December of 1849 before the Seventh-day Adventist church was organized. Therefore, his teaching and preaching must not be confused with those of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

William Miller and Samuel Snow were basing their detailed calculations of the fulfillment of the prophecy, from the "first visible crescent" New Moon in the spring of 1844, just as the Hebrew people of antiquity would have had to do. They added 177 days including that New Year's Day of Abib 1, which brought them to Tisrei 10 of the lunisolar calendar, also known as October 22, 1844, of the Roman Gregorian calendar.

Later Ellen White of the newly organized Seventh-day Adventist church placed her stamp of approval from the Lord upon the date of October 22, 1844, but not upon the event they believed was to happen.

All those teaching that the New Moon is the dark "conjunction" lunar phase, either don't know or reject the value of William Miller's October 22, 1844, conclusion and Ellen White's stamp of approval.

Answer:The calendar was changed from the Julian to the Gregorian as you have stated in order to bring the Catholic Easter back into alignment with the vernal equinox. The calendar change you speak of refers only to the change in the Roman Julian/Gregorian calendar by the same Roman power. It is true that the order of days was not affected. However, this is not the most major change that was made to calendation.

There was another calendar change that declared the Hebrew lunisolar calendar to be illegal, and replaced it with the Julian/Gregorian calendar at the Council of Nicaea between A.D. 321 and 324. As a result of this complete calendar swap and cover up by the Roman Emperor, the calendation and true seventh-day Sabbath of the Creator has all but been lost sight of.

"This change from the lunisolar to a fixed solar calendar occurred in Rome during the repressive measures which were enacted against ALL Jewish customs . . . during the reign of Emperor Hadrian. With the fall of the Nazarene headquarters...at Jerusalem, this new Roman calendar quickly spread throughout 'Christendom.' This new calendar not only replaced yearly festival dates such as Passover, but it also revamped the concept of the week and its seventh day." Iranaeus 2nd Century A.D.

"In the years following Clement of Alexandria's time, an ominous change started to take place that was to radically change the Christian concept of the Sabbath." Records the Encyclopedia Biblica: "This intimate connection between the week and the month was soon dissolved. It is certain that the week soon followed a development of its own, and it became the custom -- without paying any regard to the days of the month (i.e. the lunar month) -- . . . so that the New Moon no longer coincided with the first day of the month. Then, on page 4179 of the same encyclopedia, we read: "The introduction...of the custom of celebrating the Sabbath every 7th day, irrespective of the relationship of the day to the moon's phases, led to a complete separation from the ancient view of the Sabbath. . ." "The only problem is that if you maintain that the weekly cycle we have today has come down unchanged since the days of Christ, you have just invalidated the entire 2300 day prophecy. This sounds unbelievable, but this is a large subject that deserves more than just a cursory glance. If you start the 2300 day prophecy in 457 B.C., it pinpoints A.D. 31 as the only possible year in which Christ could have been crucified and right there is your problem. So with this in mind, I have a question for you. There were two calendars in use in the time of Christ: the Roman Julian eight-day successive week calendar, and the Hebrew lunisolar calendar. Which calendar do you think the Saviour Yahushua (Jesus) used?

Answer:If this statement were true it would be like-- a man going to the store and buying a new clock. When he gets home and pulls the clock out of the box, he would be required to leave the time set according to what ever the clock says when it comes directly from the box. Of course this is a silly story; because we know that when a person purchases a new clock they are now the owner of the clock. This ownership entitles them to setting or advancing the time to what ever they choose.

If you use this approach that it would be impossible for the moon to reflect the eighth lunar phase on the first Sabbath, then you must also apply this same principle to everything that was created. However, we know from Scripture that everything Yahuwah created was created in its fully mature and "advanced upon" state, and not as seeds, eggs or babies. Adam and Eve were full grown adults on their first day of life. Wouldn't the Creator be consistent with all creation by advancing upon the sun, and moon as well?

Whether the sun and moon were created on the fourth day or not (which there has been some speculation among theologians), it is clear that on that day Yahuwah "advanced upon" the sun and moon and appointed them for their dual action and fourfold duties: 1). To give light upon the earth. 2). To divide the light from the darkness. 3). To rule (measuring and legislating time) over the day and over the night. 4). Let them be for signs and for seasons, for days and for years, which are specific units of time that the sun cannot alone define. Gen.1:14-18.

It was on the fourth day of creation that the sun and moon were appointed to rule and legislate time for signs, seasons, days, and years. (Gen 1:14)

Think of it as the Creator Yahuwah officially setting the clock of time. Setting time includes advancing the time piece to reflect the specific time the Creator ordained. The seventh-day Sabbath came three days after the Creator advanced the clock in the heavens to reflect the week's position within the month and year. This did not affect in any way the days of the first week, which will forever stand as the template for all future "weeks". By advancing the phase of the moon to reflect the correct phase for the following fifth day, our Creator sealed the week into its "fixed" position within the phases of the moon. This is precisely the same time system or calendar that was restored to Moses and the Israelites which also regulated the Holy Festivals, such as Passover. This time system is known as the Hebrew calendar, or lunisolar calendar. You may not be aware that this is the one and only calendar that William Miller used to unlock the 2300 day/year prophecy, which is the foundation stone of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Yahuwah's calendar is the same yesterday, today and forever - it is mankind that changed and instituted a time system of his own devising.
