The Seventh-day Sabbath According to the Moon
The Fourth Commandment is the only one in ten that is based upon time. It does not specify allegiance to the Heavenly Father on the seventh-day of the ancient Egyptian, Babylonian, Ethiopian, or Roman Gregorian calendar. Rather the Creator who re-established His time system with Israel, as recorded by Moses in Exodus 12, 16, and 19, requires obedience to keeping the seventh-day Sabbath according to the moon that he placed in the heavens at creation. This is a divine appointment He has set that we may come apart from the cares of this world and rest in Him. Amazingly, it is this Fourth Commandment that defines the sun, moon, and stars of the heavens to be the sign of the Creator and Messiah. Following the lunisolar calendar and its corresponding seventh-day Sabbath, as defined by Scripture, demonstrates that we serve the only true God.
