The Pearl of Great Price

The Pearl of Great Price spoken of in Scripture is more than the title of a Mormon book or a gemstone drawn from the depths of the sea; it is a sacred revelation pointing to the costly pursuit of Truth as unveiled in Yahusha haMashiach. It is that singular treasure for which the wise willingly release lesser assumptions, traditions, and comforts, to lay hold of what heaven declares priceless. This Pearl is not a distant abstraction, nor merely like a sign in the heavens, but is witnessed in the full moon itself, set in its ordained place and appointed time, shining in completeness as it faithfully reflects the light of the sun. Here, the metaphor and the manifestation meet, for what Scripture proclaims inwardly, the heavens declare outwardly, revealing a harmony between the Word and the works of Yahuah. It is not discovered by accident nor inherited through custom, but found by those who search diligently, measure carefully, and refuse all substitutes once the genuine, radiant fullness has been revealed.

More precisely, this Pearl encompasses the restoration of the Creator’s original lunar timekeeping, centered upon the full moon as the authentic New Moon, established from the beginning as the appointed marker of sacred time. In this, the full moon is not merely a symbol, but the visible testimony of the Messiah’s ordered reign, reflecting the Father’s light and revealing His appointed times in their fullness. From one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, the rhythm of heaven bears witness to the work and authority of Yahusha, calling all flesh into alignment with His covenant. As declared in Isaiah 66:23, this divine order summons humanity to worship according to the pattern inscribed both in Scripture and in the heavens. Thus, the Pearl of Great Price is found where revelation and obedience unite, where the Messiah’s life, sacrifice, and reign are not only believed, but lived in harmony with the sacred order He set in motion from the beginning.

Twelve Pearl Gates

The twelve whole Pearl Gates leading into the Kadosh (Holy) City are not random architectural features, but profound prophetic symbols. They correspond to the twelve Full New Moons that make their grand entrance through the East Gate, announcing each of the twelve new months each year, appearing as a single, whole pearl, complete and undivided. Each gate marks an appointed moment in sacred time, declaring entrance not by human decree, but by the orderly witness of the heavens as established by the Creator Himself.

The Full Moon Honored

The Full Moon was granted the highest honor among the heavenly lights, appointed to beacon not only the beginning of lunar months, but also the commencement of years, weeks, appointed Feast Days, and lunar Sabbaths. In this way, the moon functions as the Creator’s visible and recurring witness, synchronizing sacred time with worship, remembrance, and covenantal obedience. This integrated system formed the original and divinely designed Key of Time-Measuring, by which all sacred appointments were to be rightly discerned.

“It shall be established forever like the moon, even like the faithful witness in the sky.” Psalms 89:37

Yet this knowledge did not disappear through neglect or ignorance. It was deliberately set aside and obscured, reaching a decisive turning point in A.D. 358, when a convergence of ancient Babylonian time concepts, Roman political authority, and Rabbinic Jewish leadership formally displaced the full-moon New Moon from its central role. In its place, the dark conjunction as the New Moon and the Roman continuous planetary week, complete with the names and structure of foreign gods, were adopted. This substitution fractured the Scriptural harmony between heaven and earth, disconnecting worship from the visible celestial witnesses Yahuah Alahim Himself had ordained as signs for seasons mo’edim (#4150 – lunar appointed),  days, and years.

“Assyria and Babylonia—The twelvefold division of the zodiac was evidently suggested by the occurrence of twelve full moons in successive parts of it in the course of each year.  This approximate relation was first systematically developed [or maintained] by the early inhabitants of Mesopotamia and formed the starting point for all other divisions of time… [Later] The idea of tracing the sun’s path among the “stars” [by daylight] was when it occurred to Chaldaean astronomers, an original and, relatively to their means, a recondite one.  We owe to its realization by them the constitution and nomenclature of the [modern] twelve signs of the zodiac.”  1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica – Zodiac, p. 993, Lenormant, Orgines de l’Histoire, Vol. 1, p. 236.

The quote above is from François Lenormant, the distinguished French Assyriologist whose life’s work focused on the archaeology, languages, and cosmology of Assyria and Babylon, and brought to light the lunar foundations embedded within Mesopotamia’s earliest culture. Through meticulous examination of ancient records, Lenormant demonstrated that the full moon lunar phase functioned as the primary and authoritative marker for the commencement of years, months, weeks, and days in this most ancient civilization. This establishment of the full moon as the beginning of sacred time was not a late innovation, but a continuity carried forward from the pre-Flood world through Noah, preserved as the unchallenged gold standard of time-measuring until the rise of Babylonian rebellion, when divinely ordered time was first deliberately altered.

Historical Clarification

The historical evidence below indicates that while Roman political pressure created the crisis that forced change, the calendar system ultimately adopted was not Roman in origin but Babylonian in substance. Following the failed Jewish revolts of A.D. 351–352, Roman authority curtailed the powers of the Sanhedrin and pressed for conformity to Roman time structures. Under this pressure, Hillel II relinquished observational authority over the calendar and disseminated a pre-calculated system that had been developed in Babylon, where Jewish influence had been steadily increasing. From that moment forward, the Judean Sanhedrin ceased to function as the guardian of sacred time, and the Babylonian-derived calculated calendar became normative.

“In AD 351-352, Roman persecution flared, and the Jews revolted.  They were soon crushed.  Many Jewish towns were destroyed, and decrees issued against the local authorities and against Judaism.  The privileges of the head of the Sanhedrin and the freedoms of the Sanhedrin itself were curtailed.  Roman pressure to conform “Jewish” TIME to Roman TIME had reached crisis level. ibid

Under this pressure, Hillel II agreed to limit the functions of the head of the Sanhedrin, as well as the Sanhedrin itself, with respect to proclaiming the New Moon, setting festival dates, and employing intercalation [inserting the 13^th lunar month].  With the decline of the Jewish power base in Israel, the Jewish community in Babylon had been rising in influence to fill the vacuum. Hillel II published details informing all Jews of the methods of the [new] calculated calendar developed in Babylon.  From that time on, the Sanhedrin in Judea ceased to function or to maintain calendar experts.  Hillel II is thus given the credit for the present fixed Rabbinical calendar, but in reality it originated in Babylon and was just the starting point of the development of the Rabbinical calendar in use today.” Encyclopedia Judaica, s.v. “Hillel”.

“The arrangement of the Jewish calendar as used in the time of Christ is no longer operative.  Modern Jews are divided into two classes.  The Karaite Jews, whose numbers are small, reject tradition and the Talmud, observe their feasts and festivals more nearly with those of Christ’s time as regards the true season. The larger number of Jews follow the Rabbinical Calendar, the product of Rabbi Hillel II and others, about 353 A.D. These incorporated into it many of the ancient rules of calculation, but begin their year, and feasts and festivals a month earlier in the season than the Karaites.  We have in 1844 the atonement by the Rabbinical Calendar would be September 23^rd, while by the Karaites it was about that time in October.  By the Rabbinical calendar the First day of Nisan is always between March 12 and April 11, and is always one of four days, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday the first one after the new moon for that month.” Creation Centered in Christ, by H.G. Guinness, D.D., page 276. Also from Approximate Chronology, H. H. Perry, p. 21-22.

“The Babylonians, at a very early period, divided their months into seven-day cycles…” Ancient History, Hutton Webster, p. 20

This newly imposed system incorporated ancient Babylonian principles, including calculation-based month beginnings, a continuous seven-day weekly cycle, and the displacement of observational lunar witnesses. As confirmed by Encyclopedia Judaica, Hillel II is credited with formalizing the calendar, yet the system itself originated in Babylon, not Rome. Later scholars such as H. G. Guinness further confirm that the calendar in use during the time of the Messiah was already obsolete by the fourth century, replaced by a Rabbinical framework that consistently misaligned feast timing when compared with earlier practice preserved somewhat more closely by the Karaite Jews.

Even earlier historical testimony confirms that Babylon itself divided months into uninterrupted seven-day cycles, revealing that the continuous week-long period predates Roman adoption and was already embedded within Babylonian culture. Rome did not invent the system; it enforced compliance, while Babylon supplied the structure. In this way, Jewish sacred time was severed from its original celestial witnesses and reattached to a Babylonian lunar framework under Roman authority, one that no longer honored the Scriptural principles governing the sacred beginnings and endings of time.

Thus, although it was the Romans who pressured the Jews to abandon the original Creator’s Calendar, the system adopted in its place was, in reality, the ancient Babylonian calendar framework. Our Messiah was fully aware of this convergence of Roman power and Babylonian tradition; it is humanity that has required nearly seventeen centuries to recognize the substitution and begin the work of correction. It is for this very reason that the book of Revelation declares:

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”  Revelation 14:8

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

May Yahuah and Yahusha extend mercy and illumination to each of us as we continue to seek the full restoration of sacred time, humbly laying aside inherited traditions and returning to the original order written in Scripture and displayed faithfully in the heavens.

Admission with a White Stone

Are you aware that in the induction ceremony of some secret societies, such as the Freemasons, a voting system of new inductees transpires in which the voting members cast their votes by utilizing either a black or white stone sphere?

A black stone sphere indicates that the door or gate is closed, and one is not granted admittance into the organization. This is where the phrase “blackballed” came from.

A white stone sphere signifies that the door or gate is flung open, and one is granted admittance into the organization. Admittance occurs only if there is a unanimous vote of white stones. If even one black stone is found in the ballot box, either another round of votes occurs until all are white, or the candidate is ultimately rejected.

It must not be assumed that this is an ancient pagan practice, simply because we recognize secret societies as objectionable groups who often mix truth with error.

But what do the Scriptures say about this voting method?

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Ruach (Spirit) says to the ecclesia [called out ones]. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone…” Revelation 2:17

This verse declares that the gate of the New Jerusalem will be flung open for the overcomers, the redeemed of earth, who receive the white stone. These alone will be granted admittance into the sacred city. This is the voting model used by the ETERNAL KING OF KINGS with reference to the saved and the lost.

Yahuah made provision that all mankind may receive a white stone sphere. But if sin prevails and one has not confessed all sin and been covered by the blood of Yahusha the Messiah, thereby receiving His robe of righteousness, even one black stone cast by Satan will be counted against him. Thus, he will be counted unworthy and not be admitted.

Make no mistake, the white stone sphere signifies the open gate/door to the pure, perfect LIGHT OF TRUTH, as revealed by the brilliant full New Moon, the eternal symbol of the Messiah. Whereas the black stone sphere signifies darkness, sin, and rejection, as revealed by the occulted conjunction moon, the symbol of Satan, who himself was ultimately blackballed from the New Yarushalom, and who will stop at nothing to blackball you as well. Twelve Gates are Twelve Full Moons.

The East Gate, the Full Moon, and Worship

It is not a stretch to recognize the profound symbolism in the fact that each of the twelve gates of the New Jerusalem is made of a single whole pearl. Each is representative of the tie between the full New Moon and the east gate being open for worship. Only the full moon rules together with the stars along the east-west time continuum the entire night (Genesis 1:16; Psalms 136:7-9; Jeremiah 31:35-36; Revelation 12:1). As a result, there is no guesswork as to which lunar phase is the true New Moon. A single whole pearl is the description given by John the Revelator of what he saw in vision. Each pearl was a most appropriate and beautiful description of our Creator’s marvelous full New Moon.

Might it be that until that great day when the redeemed of earth are united in the New Yarushalom after our Messiah’s Second Coming, we have entrance by way of acceptance and practice of keeping the true full New Moon? Might it also be that aligning the rhythm of our worship to His is the only way we actually accept the gift of His white stone? http://www.thecreatorscalendar.com/twelve-gates-are-twelve…/

Egyptian and Roman Captivity

This one-dollar bill presents a profound illustration of Israel’s two most well-known captivities. It identifies the pyramid of Egypt as their first captivity and the final captivity by the Roman Empire. But nothing is hinted at as to their ultimate restoration to their Alahim (God) or sovereignty.

From the Exodus to their entrance into the Promised Land, Israel spent forty years restoring Yahuah’s truths, including His Full New Moons, lunar Sabbaths, and kadosh Feast Day calendar, so they might enter the land fully synchronized to His worship order. The same occurred during Nehemiah’s time following the Babylonian captivity.

Yet strikingly, no comparable restoration followed Israel’s Roman captivity, which began in A.D. 70. Under intense political and religious pressure, the people gradually adopted Babylonian methods of timekeeping, including the dark conjunction and first visible crescent New Moons for determining Feast Days, along with the Roman planetary continuous week and Saturday as the Sabbath. Add to this that they began to teach that the day, as ruled by the sun, was to begin at sunset, while the Romans adopted a midnight-to-midnight measure for the day. In doing so, they all departed from Yahuah Alahim’s appointed order of sacred time. As a result, the full restoration to Yahuah’s truths has not yet occurred, and His people have remained bound to Babylonian and Roman calendar systems rather than the original covenantal rhythm He established with Abraham.

In rejecting the promised Messiah, they rejected the very One for whom they had been set apart as a chosen people. Yasharal’s (Israel’s) election was never intended as an end in itself, but as a sacred calling through which the promised Messiah would come, bringing the hope of salvation to all the world. Yet in the centuries that followed, many turned away from the plain testimony of the Torah and the Tanakh, choosing instead to elevate Oral Traditions, later codified in the Talmud, to a position of authority that often overrides the written Word of YAHUAH.

This departure is seen most strikingly in the treatment of the sacred Shem (Name) of YAHUAH Alahim. Though Scripture repeatedly records YAHUAH declaring His Name and commanding His people to call upon it, rabbinic tradition forbids its vocalization. In its place, substitute titles such as Adoni are used, a term linguistically and historically linked to pagan nomenclature, thereby obscuring the personal covenant Name by which YAHUAH Alahim and YAHUSHA haMashiach desire to be known.

Furthermore, critical prophetic passages within Isaiah and Daniel that clearly identify the timing, mission, and suffering of the Messiah have long been marginalized, restricted, or discouraged from open examination. Yet these very texts, preserved within Israel’s own manuscripts, testify that the Messiah would come precisely when YAHUSHA did, and that His mission was to redeem the lost and restore covenant truth. Thus, the issue is not a lack of evidence, but a resistance to its implications. The tragedy lies not in ignorance, but in the suppression of truths that, if embraced, would lead to restoration, healing, and the fulfillment of YAHUAH’s redemptive purpose for His people and for the nations.

The Promise

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the RUACH (power, presence, and provision of Yahuah) said unto the called out ones. To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a WHITE STONE, and in the STONE a new name written, which no man knows except he that receives it.” Revelation 2:17

YAHUSHA’S WHITE STONE, the Pearl of Great Price, as the Full New Moon, is a sign of the Bridal Covenant and faithfulness to Him.  It is awarded as a kind of entrance ticket into the New Yahushalom, through one of the twelve whole pearl GATES.

Conclusion: The Cost of the Pearl

The Pearl of Great Price has never been about novelty, convenience, or popular acceptance. It has always carried a cost. To obtain it requires the humility to test long-held assumptions, the courage to depart from inherited systems of time and worship, and the willingness to realign one’s life with the visible witnesses Yah Himself placed in the heavens. What has been set before the reader is not a theory, but a call to restoration. The full New Moon, the twelve whole Pearl Gates, the East Gate of worship, and the white stone of admission all converge upon a single truth: Yahusha has never altered His recorded covenant truths or covenantal rhythm. He has only waited patiently for His Bride to rediscover it.

History confirms that the displacement of the Creator’s Calendar was not accidental; Scripture reveals that its restoration is foretold, and prophecy warns that Babylon’s counterfeit systems would intoxicate the nations. Yet mercy still speaks. The invitation to “come out of her” is also an invitation to come back in, to enter by the full moon gate Yah has appointed, at the time He has sanctified, bearing the white stone of reconciliation and obedience. The Pearl of Great Price, then, is nothing less than alignment with Truth itself. Those who find it will find that it opens the gate, restores worship, and prepares the Bride for the soon appearing of her King.

May we be among those who recognize the Pearl when it is revealed, count all else as loss, and enter joyfully through the gate that shines with the faithful witness in the sky (Psalms 89:37).
