Lesson 2 Title: The East-West Time Continuum

Prepared by Kerrie L. French

Introduction:

In a world where all maps are oriented to the north and calendars and clocks are set to commence at midnight or sundown, Scripture quietly and consistently reveals a different divine compass and timepiece. From Genesis to Revelation, the consistent theme of orientation toward the east emerges as a foundational key to understanding the sacred time system of our Creator, Yahuah Alahim.

This study guide explores the significance of the east-west time continuum, tracing how the sun, moon, and stars were synchronized to reveal sacred units of time, lunar years, lunar months, count of weeks, days, and Kodesh (holy) appointed times for worship. The Scriptures present not just a theology of time but a visual symphony in the heavens where brilliant lights dance to their ordained rhythm to mark TIME, neither invisibly nor with a shadow of a turning orbit (James 1:17). At the heart of this is the full moon together with the constellation Bethulah (Virgo), announcing Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) each spring, and each New Month, a concept most often overlooked or misunderstood.

From the Book of Mysteries

In his book, “Book of Mysteries,” Jonathan Cahn relates wisdom from his teacher as follows:

“The earth is a sphere… and it turns on its axis on an east-west continuum. Therefore, the earth has a north pole and a south pole, but no east or west pole.”

“There is a measurable distance from the south pole to the north pole. Since there are two poles, the distance is limited. All north comes to an end at the North Pole. And all south ends at the South Pole.

If the Temple had been built on a north-south direction, then sin would have been removed a few thousand miles from the sinner, in a limited distance. But how far is the east from the west? East and West have no poles. Therefore, they never end. East and west are infinite. They go on forever. In fact, the Hebrew word for the EAST, kedem, also means everlasting.”

“But back then no one knew the earth was a SPHERE.”

“Alahim (God) did. And all this is a shadow of the atonement of Messiah, our salvation. So in Messiah, how far does Alahim (God) remove your sins from you? An infinity away . . . an eternity away. And if you had all eternity, you could never find them again. As it is written, ‘So far has He removed our sins away from us . . . AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST.’” Psalms 103:12.

The temple and its ceremonies performed on earth were to provide a word picture and story-line in types and shadows to illustrate the real work of salvation provided by our Messiah on the east-west time continuum. He alone was to be the Lamb sacrifice, the atoning High Kohen Priest, and the Eternal Father the Judge.

Together, they have promised to the confessing sinners, who received forgiveness, “So far has He removed our sins away from us . . . AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST.” Psalms 103:12 Book of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn

In the Beginning

The Hebrew word for “east” (kedem – H6924) is richly layered, meaning not only a direction on a compass, but “the beginning,” “what comes before,” and “the front.” This linguistic insight helps illuminate why the Garden of Eden, the Wilderness Tabernacle, and later the Temple were all eastward-facing. Each reveals a directional east gate and time-centric design aligned with the Creator’s time-centric Plan of Salvation blueprint. Through these earthly prophetic shadows, a pathway was symbolically carved for humanity’s restoration, to re-enter the presence of Yahuah through the anointed Lamb, Yahusha haMashiach, by entering at the East Gate. This study invites readers to reexamine how time, orientation, and worship are profoundly intertwined within the sacred texts of Scripture.

East-West Orientation

The Creator’s east-west orientation is far more than symbolic; it establishes the definitive starting points for time itself. It is along this east-west time continuum that the sun is appointed to visibly rule by day, and the moon and stars together to visibly rule by night, each defining when the day and night begin.

Among all lunar phases, only the full moon rises in the east and governs the entire night in unison with the stars and without the presence of the sun. This is supported by Genesis 1:14-19, Psalms 136:7-9, and Jeremiah 31:35-36. These verses, including Revelation 12:1, form a united testimony of five inspired witnesses declaring that the full moon alone meets the divine criteria to serve as the authentic New Moon of Scripture (Bible).

Falling Short

In contrast, both the crescent and dark conjunction phases fall short: the crescent first becomes visible approximately one hour before it sets on the western horizon, and the dark moon is neither a light nor is it visible for the very reason it is nearest the sun, while the sun is ruling by day. Neither of these options fulfills the requirement to “visibly rule the night together with the stars.” So it is that time reckoned by visible lights, ordained in the heavens from the beginning, is not only Scriptural but reflects the very order and purpose of the Creator.

Hidden Truths Now Revealed

Since none of us were ever taught these newly revealed truths from the beginning, it’s so vital that we approach others with patience, humility, and deep compassion as we share, remembering that we, too, were once unaware and searching. The Prophecy in Matthew 21:24, regarding “the times of the Gentiles,” has recently been fulfilled. This is a game-changer because Yahuah Alahim is now revealing His long-lost truths that have been hidden from the Jews and Christians alike. Yahuah allowed these to be lost and covered up to level the playing field, so to speak, and is now calling all who have eyes to see and ears to hear to awaken and come out of all the false systems of the world. Revelation tells us, “All the world wandered after the Beast,” this includes both Sunday and Saturday Sabbath keepers.

“Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.” Matthew 10:26

“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17

The East Gate Synchronization

All are invited to enter at the East Gate, which is opened for assembly on full New Moon Days, seventh-day Sabbaths, and lunar appointed Feast Days. But on all other regular workdays, the East Gate is closed. A fact not otherwise noticed is that the East Gate of the earthly Temple is always aligned to the rhythm of the full moon and its four lunar monthly Sabbaths, which occur nearest the three other quarter lunar phases. (Ezekiel 46:1-3.) In this way, the earthly Sanctuary (Tabernacle and Temples) mirrored the time mechanism signaled from the heavens.

The implications of these truths extend throughout the Creator’s Plan of Salvation. As illustrated in the Temple services, sin entered from the east, and forgiveness was provided from the Mercy seat in the west. This east-to-west pattern reflects the infinite distance between sin and forgiven sins, “as far as the east is from the west” (Psalms 103:12).

The Plan of Salvation Tied to the East

The correct orientation to the east is not merely about astronomy or sacred symbolism; it underscores the very Plan of Salvation, the divine remedy for sin made possible through our beloved Messiah. Within the sacred language of the Tabernacle and Temple, the annual cycle of lunar-appointed Feast Days, from spring to fall, marks the only ordained path by which to “follow the Lamb (Messiah) whithersoever He goes.” These specific lunar-appointed Feast Days serve to synchronize the hearts and lives of His faithful and obedient followers with the rhythm of His redemptive work. Through Yahusha, the Messiah alone, the repentant sinner is granted access to the throne of grace, preparing them for His soon and glorious return.

This study guide is designed for those who desire not only to learn the biblical foundation of sacred time but also to synchronize their soul temples with the original worship rhythm of heaven and creation. With open hearts and reverent minds, may we approach this journey not simply to know more, but to walk more closely with the Father of Lights, in whom “there is no variation or shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Let us discover together how the Creator’s Calendar is governed by His lights that rule according to the east-west time continuum.

Questions for Study

Below are 23 thought-provoking questions and answers inspired by the article The East–West Time Continuum. They are designed to invite deeper study and reflection, guiding you toward spiritual alignment with the Creator’s original timekeeping system.

Why is the orientation to the East so significant in Scripture? Read: Genesis 2:8; Ezekiel 46:1-3.
Answer: In Hebrew thought, “east” (kedem – H6924) symbolizes “the front,” “beginning,” or “what comes before.” The Garden of Eden, the wilderness Sanctuary, the Tabernacle, and later the Temple, all faced east, illustrating that sacred time and worship begin in this direction.
What celestial bodies were given the authority by their Creator to rule time? Read: Genesis 1:14-18; Psalms 136:7-9; Jeremiah 31:35-36.
Answer: The Sun, Moon, and Stars. “And Alahim/Elohim made two great lights; the greater light (Sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (Moon) to rule the night with the stars.” Genesis 1:14
In what way does the east-west time continuum govern the sun, moon, and stars for time-measuring? Read: Genesis 1:14-18; Psalms 136:7-9; Jeremiah 31:35-36; John 11:9.
Answer: The east-west time continuum sets the start and ending boundaries for the period of time that each of the sun, moon, and stars visibly rules the heavens.

Sun: The visible sun rules for 12 hours by daylight from sunrise to sunset only. Yet, a 24-hour day/night cycle begins at sunrise and ends the following sunrise. The Messiah explains this: “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walks in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the (sun) light of this world. But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because there is no (sun) light (for) him.” John 11:9-10

According to the Bible, the day begins when the sun starts to shine at sunrise, not at sunset or midnight, as has been popularized by long-held traditions of both wayward Jews and Romans. The day is then followed by the four watches of the night (Mark 13:35).

In the Messiah’s day and throughout the ancient world, civilizations utilized sundials. It was not like the ones sold today that measure the day from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm; instead, it began with a “1” and ended with a “12.” This was the simple and accurate counting of the 12 hours of the day. Whether winter or summer, the sundial consistently measured the sun’s movement across the visible sky by daylight as twelve hours. The one pictured below is an ancient Greek sundial, which was in use before the Romans changed the beginning of the day to midnight, and caused 6:00 am to reflect the first hour of their newly altered measure of the day.

It was only after the Jews denied Yahusha as their Messiah that they adopted the ancient Babylonian start of the day at sunset, which ended the following sunset.

The full New Moon, together with each subsequent constellation of the stars by night, announces each new month in their order. This is the way of Zion, the correct starting and ending points on the Mazzaroth (Zodiac), as described in Job 38:32. (Click on the image to enlarge it.)

The term “seasons” in Genesis 1:14 and Psalms 104:19 does not refer to seasons of the year. Instead, it is an incorrect replacement term for the Hebrew word mo’edim. Psalms 104:19 provides the correct definition of “seasons,” which is lunar appointed time. This applies to all sacred times, such as the New Moon Day, lunar Sabbaths, and Feast Days, as well as every day of the month and year.

These lights were appointed as visible markers to define “SIGNS, ~~SEASONS~~ (H4150 -MO’EDIM – lunar appointed time), DAYS, and YEARS.” In other words, Genesis 1:14 identifies lunar years, lunar months, lunar weeks, and their corresponding seventh-day Sabbaths as signs, as well as lunar workdays. Each day of the month is uniquely identified by its own lunar phase. Link to article, Mo’edim and the Missing Key Puzzle Piece.

The arrow in the image above identifies the progression from one lunar phase to the next as they each take their turn to rise in the east at different times throughout the night and even in the day. The full moon crosses over from the last night of the month to the first morning at sunrise of the new month. Notice that the moon maintains the same amount of light it receives from the sun. But from the Earth’s perspective, it changes from full light by night to less and less light until it is in conjunction with the sun, and then begins to gain more and more light until it is fully renewed and restored to its brilliant (G4582 – selene – brilliant moon) and glorious full New/Renewed Moon.

The Full Moon is the only lunar phase that visibly rises in the east at sunset and rules the entire night together with the stars, opposite the sun. Meaning the sun is not present when the full New Moon rules. This aligns with Genesis 1:16 as the “lesser light” by night and confirms Psalms 104:19—“He appointed the moon for ‘seasons’ (H4150 – mo’edim – lunar appointed time).”

Moon & Stars: The visible moon and stars rule together by night from sunset to sunrise, one night only each month. The first month of the year begins in spring when the full moon is in the starry constellation of Bethulah (Virgo) (Revelation 12:1).
How does the Full Moon uniquely fulfill the role of the start of the Year and Month, also referred to as the New Moon, Renewed Moon, or Restored Moon? Read: Genesis 1:14, 16; Psalms 104:19; Psalms 136:7-9; Jeremiah 31:35-36.
Answer: From the vantage point of the Sun, every phase of the Moon is, in essence, a full moon, since the Sun continuously illuminates half of the Moon’s surface no matter where it is in its circuit around the Earth. This scientific reality reveals a profound spiritual truth: the moon has no light of its own but is entirely dependent on the Sun for its illumination and ordained purpose. In like manner, Yahusha the Messiah derives His light, authority, and mission from Yahuah Alahim, His Father. However, from our perspective on Earth, the moon’s phases change in appearance throughout the month due to the angles of light and shadow created by its orbit.

Among all lunar phases, only one displays the Moon fully illuminated when it rises in the eastern sky: the full moon. As is common knowledge, the moon always shows the same face to Earth, and it is this face that receives the complete light of the Sun and is visible to us in its fullness just one night each month. This singular event marks a shared moment between the Sun, Earth, and Moon, in that ordained syzygy order, testifying to a divinely appointed alignment. The full moon alone, unmarked by shadow (James 1:17), is honored in Scripture as the visible commencement of the Creator’s lunar month.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17

None of the other phases, obscured by partial darkness, carries this sacred distinction. Thus, the full moon not only serves as the anchor of Yahuah’s timekeeping system but also as a luminous emblem of harmony between His created lights and His divine order.
Why can’t the dark or crescent moon serve as the authentic New Moon of the Bible? Read: Genesis 1:16; Isaiah 28:16-19; James 1:17.
Answer: The dark moon offers no light and therefore does not qualify as a light at all, and is never present in the night sky with the stars. In the middle of the lunar month, the 14^th or 15^th, this dark conjunction lunar phase is always nearest to the sun by day. It is this dark conjunction of lunar phases that occasionally covers the sun, providing a solar eclipse. An example of this is Passover, which occurs mid-month, on the 14th day, counted from the full New Moon, when our Messiah hung on the cross and the sun was darkened from the sixth to the ninth hour (12:00 noon to 3:00 pm). Refer to the article The Sun was Darkened from the Sixth to the Ninth Hour.

The crescent moon is the second lunar phase closest to the sun following conjunction. It first becomes visible approximately 12 degrees or 1 hour before it sets on the western horizon, following sunset. With an appearance of no more light than that of an eyelash, it does not visibly rise in the east nor rule even a quarter of the night with the stars.

Neither the dark nor the crescent moon meets the biblical requirements of visibly rising in the east and ruling the night together with the stars, opposite the sun, along the east-west time continuum. James 1:17 defines the Father of Lights as being represented by lights that have no shadow of a turning orbit. This means all three—the sun, moon, and stars—testify with no darkness upon them but as brilliant lights when they are ruling time.
In the Plan of Salvation, the marvelous remedy for sin, what is the symbolic significance of the infinite distance between the East and the West as it relates to the forgiveness of sin? Read: Psalms 103:12.
Answer: The distance between the East and the West symbolically represents the infinite removal of sin from the repentant sinner—“as far as the East is from the West.” It aligns our attention with the Temple services, where confessed sin was carried from the east gate by the priest to the west, where forgiveness was granted from the mercy seat of Yahuah Alahim, the Most High, and it was never to be found again.
How does the Hebrew word “kedem” deepen our understanding of time? Read: Genesis 3:24; 1 Kings 17:3 (examples of east).

Answer: The term Kedem (H#6924) not only means “East,” but also “before,” “front,” and “earliest time.” It identifies both a direction and the beginning of all time-measuring. If East is the beginning, and what comes before, then time is measured from that point to everything that follows, from east to west forever, yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily, morning by morning.
How does the ancient wilderness Sanctuary (Tabernacle and later Temple) sacrificial system mirror the Creator’s calendar? Read: Numbers 28 and 29; Leviticus 23; Ezekiel 45:18; Exodus 25:32; Psalms 19:1-6.
Answer: The Temple’s structure and sacrificial schedule precisely followed the east-west orientation of the sun, moon, and stars, aligning with the lunar months and four lunar Sabbaths each month. It was designed to fully reflect the celestial calendar in the heavens, bringing about the precise beginning of the year, the lunar month, the week, and each day. In this way, it was designed to synchronize the worshiper with their marvelous maker.

Together with the Menorah, the Sacrifice Schedule is the Master Key of Time. It illustrates that there can be no overlapping of days as occurs with the modern Roman Gregorian calendar. Each kind of day has its own unique sacrifice that sets it apart from the other days. Because all days are counted from the full moon, it is evident that all days: Full Moon Days, lunar seventh-day Sabbaths, lunar appointed Feast Days, and regular workdays are all lunar-based, measured in the same way in their order from the same starting point.

This ensures that the New Moon Day will never occur on a workday or seventh-day Sabbath, and vice versa. Only one calendar was utilized by the Creator to locate His lunar-appointed Feast Days and His weekly Sabbaths. For a detailed Feast Day explanation, refer to The Sacrifice Schedule, the Master Key of Time.
Might the Mark of the Beast be the result of adhering to the Roman Beast calendar after the truth has been clearly presented? Read: Jeremiah 6:16; Jeremiah 18:15; Luke 21:24.

The Hebrews’ change from their original timekeeping methods ordained by the Creator occurred during the repressive years of Roman captivity, when Jewish leaders adapted their calendar under external pressures. They utilized aspects of Nimrod’s ancient Babylonian calendar for their dark New Moon and the Roman newly adopted seven-day continuous weekly cycle for their Sabbaths. For nearly 400 years, the early Roman Julian calendar had an eight-day continuous weekly cycle. So when that was ultimately changed to the seven-day continuous weekly cycle, the Jews adopted it. But this created such chaos with their lunar Feast Day layout that they had to develop the Rules of Postponement. These rules were designed to postpone only the biblical Feast Days so that they wouldn’t fall on their new seventh-day Sabbath, which was laid out according to Rome’s new planetary continuous weekly cycle’s seventh day, occurring on Saturday.

So while the Jews and their followers, the Seventh-day Adventists, and other Messianic worship groups keep a seventh day as the Sabbath. Does it matter which calendar they choose to count to the seventh day? The Jews were pressured to change their calendar from the lunar to the Roman solar calendar, which is popular today. Is this acceptable to the Creator? Is it fine with Him as to which method we use? Will any calendar synchronize the worshippers with their beloved Creator and Savior? NO! NO! A thousand times NO!

The fact that the Jews have never restored their biblical calendar suggests that both they and those who follow in their traditions remain, in a very real sense, in Roman captivity, bound by systems that obscure the Creator’s legacy for His faithful. This raises a sobering question: Now that “the times of the Gentiles have been fulfilled” (Luke 21:24), could the continued adherence to the Roman calendar and its man-made holidays, detached from the Creator’s ordained rhythm, be intricately connected to what Scripture calls the Mark of the Beast? The implications invite heartfelt reflection, study, and a willingness to return in faithfulness to Yahuah Alahim’s ancient paths as prescribed in Scripture alone.
How does the Menorah reveal the timing and lunar phases of Yahuah’s annual Feast Days, and what unique pattern does it display about the full moon and dark moon? Read: Exodus 25:32; Leviticus 24:1-4; Luke 11:33; Revelation 1:13.

The Menorah highlights the Feast Days as commencing with Rosh Hashanah, New Year’s Day in spring, on the full moon in the east, and Passover was counted 14 days later, occurring on the day of a dark moon in the west. This alternating pattern, from the full moon in the east to the dark moon in the west, accurately places each sacred yearly Feast Day on the Menorah as either occurring on the full moon or the dark moon, except for the seventh one. It occurs on the last quarter-moon phase that stands at the center of the Menorah. For more on this subject, refer to The Menorah, the Gold Standard of Time.
What role does the full moon play in announcing the New Year and New Month, and why? Read: Ezekiel 20:12.
Answer: The role and purpose of the full New/Renewed Moon is to lay out a consistent time-measuring model for worship and work that can be followed by all the world, young and old alike, without the need of a Jewish Priest, organization, entity, or city to try to announce time correctly for all the world. But even more significantly, our Creator ordained His full New/Renewed Moon to synchronize the worship rhythm of His faithful upon Earth with that of His Kodesh (Holy) and Heavenly Kingdom. All who seek faithfulness enter into His Bridal Covenant.
Why must visible lights rule sacred time? Read: Genesis 1:14-15; Ephesians 5:13; Proverbs 4:18-19; Matthew 24:27; James 1:17.
Answer: Genesis 1:14 declares the lights in the heavens to be for “signs, ~~seasons~~ (mo’edim—H4150—lunar appointed time), days and years,” meaning they must be visible to recognize them as sign markers. The Creator uses lights to signal His appointed times, not darkness.

Ephesians 5:13 says it best: “But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.”

Proverbs 4:18-19 is equal to it: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day [full moon day]. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom (which) is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
Have you ever watched lightning flash across the sky? Does it consistently have a pattern of shining from east to west, or is it erratic, going every which way before reaching the ground? Read: Matthew 24:27; Jeremiah 16:19.
Answer: Now read Matthew 24:27 – “For as the ‘lightning’ comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.”

From your own observations, is this verse accurately describing lightning? Absolutely NOT! Now let’s replace the word “lightning” with a better word choice, such as “luminaries,” meaning “the sun, moon, and stars.” Here is how it should read here in the New Testament, which is 100% in support of the Old Testament:

“For as the luminaries (sun, moon, and stars), come out of the east, and shine even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:27 (Restored)

With the correct term restored, this verse now aligns perfectly with Genesis 1:14-15, Psalms 136:7-9, and Jeremiah 31:35-36. So here we have uncovered a well-hidden truth in the New Testament that is now harmonious with the three witnesses of the Old Testament. Certain aspects of Scripture have been intentionally altered to align with the views of the Romans or the Jews when in apostasy. This is why it is important to compare all things with the foundational truths of the Torah Law of the Old Testament.

Matthew 24:27 carries a promise that just as the ordained sun, moon, and stars shine forth from east to west, so shall our Messiah return. However, it also identifies that His return occurs according to the same authorized principles of time measurement as laid out at creation and later utilized for the Plan of Salvation, as prescribed in Leviticus 23 for the lunar appointed Feast Days.

The illegitimate insertion of the word “lightning” was accomplished by the lying pen of scribes. This kind of alteration in a word or phrase in the Bible has been occurring since Jeremiah’s day (Jeremiah 8:8-9). For more on this, refer to the article The Lying Pen of Deceitful Scribes.
How did ancient cultures shift away from the eastward orientation for maps and calendars? Read: Ephesians 2:2.
Answer: It all begins with disobedience to the Torah Law of instruction.

Some say the change in map orientation was attributed to Ptolemy of Alexandria, Egypt.

“Claudia Ptolemy (90-168 AD), a classical Greek cartographer, was credited with creating the first known atlas. His collection of cartography in Geographia was an early example of orienting maps with the north at the top. North orientation came back into favor during the Great Age of Exploration with the need for seafaring explorers to orient themselves with their compasses. The importance of orienting maps towards the north was a reflection of the importance of knowing where the magnetic North was. Today, a north orientation is commonplace among many cartographers and almost all online mapping applications.” Wikipedia https://www.geographyrealm.com/map-orientation/

Ancient Babylon and later Egypt began to reorient time and their calendars for sacred use according to the sun, ruling with the invisible stars by daylight. The dark conjunction lunar phase in alignment with the sun highlighted the start of their month to begin the next day with a crescent moon. This is still true today.

“The idea of tracing the sun’s path among the ‘stars’ [by daylight] was when it occurred to Chaldaean [ancient Babylonian] astronomers, an original and, relatively to their means, a recondite one. We owe to its realization by them the constitution and nomenclature of the [modern] twelve signs of the zodiac.” 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica – Zodiac, p. 993, Lenormant, Origines de l’Histoire, Vol. 1, p. 236.

“By the 1st century B.C.E…The year, based on cycles and phases of the moon, totaled 354 days, about 10¼ days shorter than the solar year…The Pontifex Maximus and the College of Pontiffs had the authority to alter the calendar, and they sometimes did so to reduce or extend the term of a particular magistrate or other public official. Finally, in 46 B.C.E., Julius Caesar initiated a thorough reform that resulted in the establishment of a new dating system, the Julian calendar.” http://www.webexhibits.org/calendars/calendar-roman.html

“In 46 B.C. Julius Caesar asked astronomer Sosigenes to suggest ways to improve the calendar. Acting on Sosigenes’ suggestions, Caesar ordered the Romans to disregard the moon in calculating their calendars.” World Book Encyclopedia, Vol. 3, p. 28

The Dead Sea Scrolls provide evidence of calendar wars among some Hebrew factions in the first and second centuries A.D., and earlier.

In 70 A.D., the Jews went into Roman captivity, where they were forced to abide by the rhythm of the sun alone, with its planetary week that cycled without end. This was made possible by eliminating the moon from time-measuring. This shift broke the connection to the Creator’s calendar and the Temple and set the stage for man-made time-measuring systems.

Later, in the fourth century A.D., the Rabbinical Jews succumbed to the pressure of their Roman captors to change their calendar. This change forever compromised their calendar’s orientation to the east and their ties to their original mission on earth. They were called the chosen people to guard and protect the sacred and set-apart oracles of Yahuah, which highlighted the Plan of Salvation through the lunar-appointed Feast Days. These, in turn, punctuated the detailed ministry, through TIME & EVENT of the long-promised Messiah from His first coming to His return. Yet, all was sorely compromised and ultimately ignored by them.
What does Isaiah 28:16–19 reveal about the full moon and the Messiah? Read: Isaiah 28:16-19; 1 Peter 2:8.
Answer: Isaiah presents the full moon as a “cornerstone” and a measuring line, paralleling the Messiah. It both signifies the beginning, stability, and truth in contrast to deception and falsehood. Peter speaks of the stone of stumbling as a rock of offence. Here again, this verse can refer to both the Messiah and the full moon. Scripture appears to signify that the full moon is a symbol or icon of the Messiah, just as the full moon perfectly reflects the light of the sun; He reflects His Father.
Why are artificial time systems signs of rebellion against the Creator? Read: Isaiah 14:13; Daniel 7:25.
Answer: The man-made artificial time-measuring systems were proactively crafted by powerful men under Satanic control to replace and separate mankind far from the Creator’s appointed worship times. These illegitimate calendars can be recognized because they are neither illuminated by the trinity of lights of the sun by day, nor the moon, and the stars by night, set forth at creation, nor do they present units of time that fit neatly into the next larger units. In this way, they reflect man’s defiance against their Alahim (God) and Lucifer’s ambition to detour worship from the Creator to Himself.
Why must all units of time be subdivisions of larger light-based units? Read: Deuteronomy 25:14-16

Answer: The Creator’s authentic and original calendar is a perfect, interlocking system. Days, weeks, months, and years are each subdivisions of the larger units and are defined by the movements and phases of the sun, moon, and stars. Any deviance from this is outside of our Creator’s perfect time measuring and His plan to save you and me.

Whether measuring the weight of gold, silver, grain, the length of fabric, or the sacred parameters of the Sanctuary (Tabernacle), only one just weight and measure was to be the standard utilized for each kind of measure.
What was the first test of faithfulness before Israel’s Exodus from Egypt? Read: Exodus 12:1-3.

Answer: The first test was not merely keeping Passover’s details correctly, as most of us were taught, but rather realigning to the Creator’s original calendar model by recognizing and restoring the full moon as the authentic New/Renewed Moon and start of the New Year, and new month.

The Hebrews, under the leadership of Moses and Aaron, had to make a clean break from Egypt’s dark conjunction, which had ruled over them during their captivity. If they had not adhered to Yahuah Alahim and restored their allegiance to His lunar calendar model, they too would have lost their firstborn sons as did the Egyptians, because they would have celebrated Passover on the wrong day, fifteen days too late. For a more precise translation of Exodus 12:1-2, click this Link. Additionally, refer to the article “Restoring the Creator’s Calendar.“

“And Yahuah spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, ‘The New Moon, this self-same one, is THE BEGINNING (ROSH) of the lunar months, which is FIRST in PLACE as the New Moon for measuring the revolution of a year (HASHANAH).'” Exodus 12:1-2

Exodus 12:1-3 served as the foundational framework for the entire Wilderness sojourn, the entire Sanctuary/Tabernacle/Temple services and its sacrificial system, which was restored to Israel. It was the Temple’s sacrificial system that connected each specific Kodesh (Holy) day to its specific lunar phase and starry constellation, revealing the prophetic work of the Messiah, as the Lamb, Priest, unto Salvation.
What is meant by the “door of entrance” in the East Gate? Read: Revelation 14:4; Ezekiel 46:1-3.
Answer: The East Gate symbolizes the beginning of sacred time, as it is synchronized with the full moon, marking the start of years, months, and count of weeks. It also represents the entrance to the path by which the faithful follow the Lamb [their Messiah] whithersoever He goes, the entry point of salvation.
How does the Temple system function prophetically as the shadow of heavenly things? Read: Hebrews 8:5.
Answer: It portrays Yahusha as both the sacrificial Lamb and Priest in the removal of sin, before His Father. The ceremonies mirrored the celestial order of the sun, moon, and stars and highlighted the east-west pattern of our sins’ removal and forgiveness.

This sacrificial system functions as the Master Key of Time, identifying that the Creator’s authentic and original calendar was lunar, marked by the full moon each month that rises in the east. The sacrificial schedule indicates that unique sacrifices were offered on sacred days, separating them from non-sacred days, ensuring that these kinds of days would never coincide.

But most of all, the Temple’s sacrificial system prophetically marks the day of the year for each event along the pathway of the Plan of Salvation. It reveals both the TIME & EVENT to be fulfilled by Yahusha haMashiach, the one and only anointed Messiah. Any Messiah contenders, by another name that don’t meet the prophetic lunar Sacrifice Schedule criteria, are illegitimate frauds and wannabees. Refer to the article The Sacrifice Schedule, The Master Key of Time.
Why must worship be synchronized to the Creator’s time model? Read: Genesis 1:14-15; Psalms 104:19.
Answer: True worship occurs according to Yahuah’s ordained and appointed schedule and not ours. When we worship according to an alternate or illegitimate calendar pattern, we worship alone. He is not there. All His sacred Feast Day assemblies, highlighting the Plan of Salvation and remedy for sin, are fixed to a pattern beginning on the full New Moon, then to the dark Moon in the middle of the month, and the last quarter phase, marking the last Feast of Yom Shemini. And all His Sabbaths are counted from the full New Moon that rises in the east. Each Sabbath falls on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, or 29th of the lunar month.

Any divergence from our Creator’s calendar separates us from His rhythm and leads to the confusion and error of the Roman-inflicted Dark Ages (which has continued to our day) and their illegitimate traditions, false propaganda, and ultimately, the Mark of the Beast. Refer to the article The Mark of the Beast or The Seal of Yahuah.
What is the eternal significance of reorienting one’s life and worship rhythm to the Full Moon as the sacred New/Renewed Moon? Read: Genesis 15:1; Ruth 2:12; Isaiah 40:10; Jeremiah 24:7; Revelation 11:18; Revelation 22:12

“And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Yahuah: and they shall be My people and I will be their Alahim: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.” Jeremiah 24:7

Answer: Ultimately, this sacred lunar calendar reorientation calls the diligent Bible believer out of long-held pagan traditions, restoring them back to the nearly lost Bridal Covenant of synchronized worship with their creator. It invites us to meet our Redeemer at His appointed times, not according to man’s calendar, but according to the one He etched in the heavens from the beginning. In doing so, we participate in the prophetic restoration foretold for the final generation.

“These are they who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goes.” Revelation 14:4. It is these who keep the commandments of Yahuah and hold to the testimony of Yahusha. It is not only about marking time and worshiping in harmony with our beloved creator; it is about being marked by the truth, sealed into His covenant, in preparation for the day when time itself gives way to eternity. All are invited to enter in, Jew and Gentile alike, as the adorned covenant-keeping Bride, anticipating that great day when the Bridegroom returns for her and together enter into the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Only the wise virgins were prepared in advance, so when the midnight cry rang out, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him,” they were ready. But what set them apart? They had already turned their hearts from the traditions of men and returned to the Creator’s divine order of the east-west time continuum, restoring their worship to the full New Moon calendar established at creation. In reverence and obedience, they will honor the Torah’s instruction and observe the sacred lunar-appointed Feast Days each year as outlined in the pattern given to Moses, unto salvation.
What will be the great and final test at the end of time that illustrates each soul’s complete devotion to their Creator, Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior?

Answer: Just as Israel’s first great test before the Exodus and sojourn to the Promised Land was the restoration of Yahuah’s calendar, so too, at the end of time, this same test will be the sacred vetting system, calling the faithful to walk in the rhythm of the Bridal Covenant once again.

The complete restoration of both the Sacred Names and the original full New Moon lunar calendar now stands as the final testing truth for all who long to be ready at Yahusha’s return. As the cry to awaken echoes once more across the earth in these closing hours, the Bridegroom asks: Will you stand among the wise, trimmed, lit, and walking in the light of My sacred lunar-appointed times, fulfilling the Bridal Covenant?

The call is given. The invitation remains open for a time; step into the rhythm of redemption, sing in His cadence the Song of Moses and the Lamb, and meet the Bridegroom on His terms, at His time. All of this is preparing you for His glorious return from the east for His faithful on the full New Moon of the Feast of Trumpets of a year in the near future. HalleluYAH!!!

From the rising of the sun by day to the rule of the full moon and stars by night, Yahuah’s appointed lights declare His order, His calendar, and His covenant rhythm of redemption. The Temple, the sanctuary services and sacrifices, along with the full New Moon, all testify to a Creator who lovingly placed visible signs in the heavens to perfectly guide His faithful followers in set-apart worship and holy living. These are not traditions of men, but divine ordinances established from the foundation of the world and eternally secured in the ministerial work of Yahusha haMashiach, our Lamb, Priest, and one day King, in preparation for His return from the east.

Beloved seeker of truth, you are lovingly invited to realign your life with the East Gate, to enter by the way of His LIGHTS and sacred time, each born of the east.
