The Count of Shabuot

Please note that while work is being done on this article, you can rest assured that the count begins on the day after the Sabbath, which is the 16th day counted from the full New Moon of Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day) in the spring. In the year 2020, this first day is equal to 04-23-2020.  Research has caused a change in view on this subject, which will be posted shortly.
