Passover’s Seven Scriptural Time-centric GPS Fun Facts

1. PASSOVER and Rosh Hashanah’s Pivotal Role: Passover, also known as Pesach, marks its commencement 14 days counted from Rosh Hashanah (New Year’s Day in Spring), establishing a foundational connection to the very BEGINNING (H7218 – ראשׁ -Rosh)  of all units of time (Exodus 12:1-6). Explore the intricate details in the article – Start of the Year Rules Establish Rosh Hashanah.
2. PASSOVER and the Harmony of Lunar Phases: Passover is intricately linked to the “New Moon Day” of the first lunar month each year and consistently falls on the 14th day of Abib (Nissan). This intriguing alignment emphasizes the unity of the first day of the year as synonymous with the first day of the first month. They are both adorned with the same lunar phase (Exodus 12:1-4; Leviticus 23:1-5). Uncover the depths of this connection in the article – Restoring the Creator’s Calendar.
3. PASSOVER and the Timing on the Lunar Calendar: Passover consistently finds its home on the sixth day (Preparation Day) of the second lunar week of the first lunar month of the lunar year. This is meticulously chronicled in Leviticus 23:5, Matthew 27:62, Mark 15:42, and John 19:14.
4. PASSOVER and the High Sabbath Correlation: On the next day following Passover, a High Sabbath always follows on the 15th of Abib (Nissan) (John 19:31). What is a High Sabbath?  This is when a weekly lunar seventh-day Sabbath simultaneously occurs with the first day of a sacred lunar Feast Day. The first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread commences on the seventh day Sabbath, the 15th of the first Lunar month of the year. This unique alignment with the lunar seventh-day Sabbath underscores the celestial connection of our Creator’s authentic Sabbaths to the lunar cycle alone. Explore the interplay of these elements in the article –  All Things Passover.
5. PASSOVER and the Solar Eclipse Significance: Passover, aligned with an extreme solar eclipse at the time of our Messiah’s crucifixion on the 14th day of the lunar month, highlights the profound symbolism of three hours of midday darkness. Luke declares that “the sun was darkened” (Luke 23:44–45). Luke describes this as “the sun was darkened from the sixth to the ninth hour (Luke 23:44-45).” Solar eclipses only occur during daylight when a dark conjunction lunar phase comes between the Earth and the Sun. Shockingly, this epic mid-month solar eclipse event establishes the following two additional facts. Delve into the details in the article – The Sun was Darkened from the Sixth to the Ninth Hour.
6. PASSOVER and the Mid-Month Lunar Phase: Passover’s mid-month lunar phase occurs on the day of a dark conjunction. So it is, that YAHUSHA, our Messiah, was preordained to lay down His life for you and me at a specific lunar appointed time. That time was the 14^th day, during a dark conjunction lunar phase, counted from Rosh Hashanah (the first day of the year and lunar month). This fact reveals that the authentic and original lunar phase for the start of the lunar month is the full moon and not the dark conjunction or crescent, as traditionally held by the two factions of Jews. Discover the significance of this celestial arrangement in the article – The Sun was Darkened from the Sixth to the Ninth Hour.
7. PASSOVER and Its GPS Revelation: The seven-part Passover GPS, intricately woven into Scripture, unveils our Creator’s original ordination of the New/Renewed Moon as the Full Moon. This means that the brilliant luminary and giant light in the night sky is the beacon and foundational commencement of all the larger units of time. These include lunar years, lunar months, lunar weeks, lunar Sabbaths, lunar count of days, and lunar appointed Feast Days. Explore the comprehensive evidence in the article – Support Evidence for the Full New Moon.

The Creator’s Lunar Month Template

The calendar below is formulated from the Seven GPS Fun Facts listed above. Every year without fail, the layout of the first month of the year will look very much like this, ensuring the accurate placement of Passover. The modern Gregorian calendar dates will vary from 11 to 21 days. Because the lunar calendar varies by 11 to 21 days each year. But it is the moon itself that brings it all back into harmony with the solar year every 19 years. The details provided leave all humanity without excuse for celebrating Passover, the most sacred day of the year.

Note that all days of the week and their Sabbaths are tied to the count from the full New/Renewed Moon lunar phase. There is some variation in the dark conjunction lunar phase occurring on either the 14th or the 15th.

Locating Passover on the Modern Solar Calendar

Below are the most recent Gregorian solar calendars representing 2023, 2024, and 2025. Utilizing only the following four rules, please take a moment to locate the placement of Passover:

1. The 14th day of the New Year in Spring.
2. The 14th day of the Month.
3. The sixth day of the second week.
4. The seventh-day Sabbath is the following day, as well as the 15th of the month.

While we can locate the 14th day of the year, it is not in spring.  Because the 14th day of the Roman solar calendar cycles throughout the days of the week (Sunday – Saturday), it is not consistently on the same day of the week. In fact, each year the fourteenth will be on a different day of the week.

Interestingly, Passover cannot be placed on the sixth day of the week in any of these examples. Also, none of these years, 2023, 2024, or 2025, provides the required biblical placement for the seventh-day Sabbath (the 15th) to be the day following Passover, the 14th day.

The Removal of the New Moon

Utilizing the following solar week cycle, please take a moment to align Passover with all three of the following simultaneously: 1) Place Passover on the 14th day counted from the full moon (first day of the month); 2) Place it on the sixth day of the second week; 3) and ensure that the seventh-day Sabbath occurs the next day.

Notice how the Roman Gregorian week cycle has no beginning or end, but cycles continuously without a New Year Marker or New Month Marker. Of course, we all know that the days of the year were divided into months according to the whim of Caesar, giving months a variety of days from 28 – 31. The beginning of the year was moved from spring to winter, ten days following the winter solstice.

The problem stems from the fact that the modern Roman Gregorian week was proactively designed to cycle continuously for the purpose of ignoring the New Moon Day, its first day designation, and its lunar month boundary markers.

In every instance, the first day of the Gregorian year or month may fall on any day of the weekly cycle, a feature that underscores the arbitrary nature of this calendar system. The Roman Gregorian solar calendar, by design, operates according to principles that stand in stark contrast to the divine order outlined in Scripture. Its structure for determining the beginning of years, months, weeks, and days is wholly misaligned with the Creator’s established timekeeping, rooted in the harmonious movements of the sun, moon, and stars. As a result, this man-made model, much like the proverbial Pied Piper, has led countless souls away from a deeper understanding of their Creator, His appointed times, and the rhythm of sacred worship. In this tragic dissonance, the only one who rejoices is the adversary of humanity, the one who delights in obscuring the path to truth and redemption.

This disconnect is not incidental. It arises from the very nature of the Roman solar calendar, which is governed exclusively by the sun, while entirely neglecting the lunar cycles so vital to biblical time reckoning. Consequently, this renders it fundamentally incompatible with the scriptural framework. Take, for example, the observance of Passover: within the lunar calendar model, its placement is clear and consistent, always falling on the 14th day following the New Moon Day. This simplicity, however, becomes an impossibility under the solar system, which omits the New Moon Day altogether, severing the connection to the Creator’s appointed times. Might this explain why many Christian traditions, anchored to the Roman calendar’s rhythm, have become detached from the biblical feasts and the lunar Sabbath? This is not simply a calendar issue; it is a call to return to divine alignment and to restore the sacred time the Creator established.

The Rhythm of the Tabernacle and Sacrifices Were Lunar

According to Leviticus 23 and Numbers 28-29, every day of the year, as well as the Feast Days, was tied to a lunar date, not a solar one. Each authentic seventh-day Sabbath is synchronized with its count from the New Moon Day, fixing it to the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th day of each lunar month. The inseparable bond between lunar timekeeping and the divinely appointed Feast Days permeates every facet of sanctuary/tabernacle worship, from its time‑focused sacrificial system to the prophetic unfolding of the Messiah’s redemptive ministry.

The detailed sacrificial prescriptions recorded in Leviticus 23 and Numbers 28–29 function as what might be termed our Creator’s “Rules of Engagement.” In this light, the sacrificial calendar is established as the MASTER KEY of TIME and PROPHECY. As the Master Key, it unlocks both the measure of sacred time and the unfolding of prophecy by revealing the precise pattern of years, months, weeks, and days within the lunar‑appointed system upon which the Plan of Salvation is fulfilled.

In the chart below, notice how each sacrifice designates a specific kind of day, whether work days, New Moon Days, or lunar seventh-day Sabbaths. The yearly lunar appointed Feast Days are then fixed to these according to their designations. This fact renders it impossible for any of these kinds of days to overlap with each other. They are fixed as a perfect gear system in time. As long as these rules are adhered to, the Creator’s correct holy days can be found and celebrated in accordance with His unique and ordained worship rhythm.

The Road Less Traveled

In this enlightening journey, we’ve unraveled the wondrous truth encapsulated in Passover’s Seven Scriptural GPS Fun Facts. We now have newfound clarity, dispelling misconceptions that may have veiled our understanding of time measurement and sacred worship days. This revelation highlights the divergence between the current practices of synagogues and churches in contrast to the ancient paths ordained at creation and recorded in the Torah Law. This realization invites us to embrace a deeper understanding and connection with the timeless wisdom woven into the fabric of these divine and joyous celebrations.

“Thus says YAHUAH, ‘Stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the ancient paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk therein.'” YirmeYAHU (Jeremiah) 6:16

“Because my people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to vanity, and it has caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths in a way not exalted…”  YirmeYAHU (Jeremiah) 18:15

In a surprising revelation, not only are Passover and the other Holy Feast Day assemblies intricately connected to the lunar cycle, but the seventh-day Sabbath predominantly rises to the top of the list as it also strategically shares in the same. This means that every day of our Creator’s original calendar is gracefully guided by the rhythm of 29-30 unique lunar phases. Together, these form each lunation (lunar month) with the full moon’s radiant glow. Delve deeper into this interconnected harmony by exploring the article – Mo’edim, the Missing Key Puzzle Piece.

Ezekiel 46:1-3 beautifully articulates the distinct categories of three and even four kinds of days: New Moon Days, work days, and seventh-day Sabbaths, and a 30th day six months a year. These seamlessly coexist without any overlapping, contrasting greatly with the Gregorian solar calendar. The synchronicity of each time unit, finely tuned to the trinity of the sun, moon, and stars, creates a celestial symphony of sacred rhythmic precision.
