Number All Sacred Days
from the Same Lunar Measure

In this interlinear Hebrew word study, it is demonstrated that mankind is commanded to take a stand to establish “SUNRISE” as the commencement of the “day, rather than the traditional Yahudim (Jewish) sunset to sunset or Roman midnight to midnight.”  In addition, Yahuah is calling His obedient believers to restore all of His units of time.  He defines how this is to be accomplished.  We are to “NUMBER” the days of the lunar months, the Sabbaths, and the other fixed appointed Feast Days according to the unique yet unparalleled lunar phase demarcation that begins with the full moon as the start of lunar months. 

As a nail in a sure place, neither Saturday nor Sunday is Kadosh (sacred and set-apart) days to the Eternal Father according to the rhythm of His marvelous LIGHTS He ordained at creation.  By extension, the modern Roman Gregorian calendar, with its unbroken chains of weeks that have purportedly cycled without end since creation, is once again exposed as artificial fruit of a spurious calendar model that cannot be consistently numbered from any of the three luminaries (sun, moon, and stars) in the shamayim (heavens).

 

Sunrise to Sunset –  The Parameters of the “Day”

“AND TO ESTABLISH SUNRISE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE DAY to extend hands in thanksgiving and to give praise unto YAHUAH, AND THEN AFTERWARD FOR SUNSET.”  1 Chronicles 23:30

“And for ALL the sacrifices to YAHUAH:  FOR THE SABBATHS; FOR THE NEW MOONS; AND FOR THE SPECIFIC COMMEMORATIVE LUNAR APPOINTED DATES, ACCORDING TO THE MEASURE ALAHIM COMMANDED THEM, PERPETUALLY BEFORE THE FACE OF YAHUAH.”  1 Chronicles 23:31

Time Belongs to Yahuah

“And for ALL the sacrifices to YAHUAH:  FOR THE SABBATHS; FOR THE NEW MOONS; AND FOR THE YEARLY APPOINTED FEAST ASSEMBLIES, NUMBER ACCORDING TO THE ORDAINED MEASURE, BY REASON OF THE PERPETUAL FACE THAT TURNS BEFORE YAHUAH.”  1 Chronicles 23:31

Verse 31 brings out another important point of how each unit of time is referred to as Yahuah’s.  It is Yahuah’s Sabbaths, Yahuah’s New Moons and corresponding lunar months, and Yahuah’s Feast days.  This is a second witness to Exodus 20:10, “The seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuah your Alahim.” Our Creator shared His Sabbath with mankind so that we may be in sync with the worship rhythms of His messengers and unfallen worlds as they assemble on His pre-appointed sanctified days.  But in addition to Yahuah sharing His Sabbaths with mankind, He also imparted to Earth His New Moons, lunar months, and sacred Feast Days.

How can we know for certain? 

Each day of Earth’s creation fell upon a workday of Yahuah. These six workdays were sandwiched between two sacred days of Yahuah. These are His sanctified seventh-day Sabbath, His rest day, which correspondingly fell at the end of earth’s creation week, and the New Moon day, which occurred at Yahuah’s abode the day before the first day of creation. As a result, earth’s first week of time was hung from the New Moon of His Kadosh (holy) seat of power, and not our own, as the sun, moon, and stars were not created, or their time set, until the fourth day. Therefore, while the Sabbath was indeed the seventh day of the week, the actual calendar date for that first seventh-day Sabbath would have been the 8^th of the lunar month, in acknowledgment of the New Jerusalem’s shared gift of time. 

Thus earth’s first week and month were set according to her clock and her New Moon.  This was the missing puzzle piece in the Genesis account, bringing it now into full harmony with the rest of the Hebrew Scriptures.

The calendar illustration below demonstrates what occurred during the creation week.  On the New Moon Day (in blue), the Creator could not have been on Earth for any reason. He had to be on His throne, receiving worship from all His creation. Each of the creation’s workdays is (in green).  The first day of the creation of earth would have been the second day of the month for Yahuah, whose time rhythms He was to share with Adam and Eve of His new creation called earth.  The 8^th day of the month (in gold) is the seventh day of the week, an eternal set-apart seventh-day Sabbath of Yahuah’s, past, present, and future.  Here again, He would be on His seat of authority receiving worship from all His creation, including Adam and Eve.

Could it be any other way? The Creator is to be worshiped from eternity past to eternity future by all of His created beings upon these two kinds of days from month to month (Isaiah 66:23).  As a result, and by divine design, the earth could never have a Creator ordained eight-day week, for the simple fact that the Creator Himself was receiving worship upon the New Moon day from all the messenger hosts of shamayim.  The first day of creation could not have been the New Moon day, as some believe, for the very reason that Yahuah rests from work upon all the worship days, as He and His son alone are the subjects of worship (1 Chronicles 23:31).  Ezekiel 46:1 verifies this:  

Thus says Yahuah Alahim: “The gateway of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the New Moon it shall be opened. . . Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before Yahuah on the Sabbaths and the New Moons.” Ezekiel 46:1, 3. NKJV

The very next day following New Moon in the courts above, the Creator, Yahuah, commenced the work of creation for six days.  On the seventh-day Sabbath, He again ceased His work to receive worship by all of His created beings, but now with the addition of those upon the earth, namely, Adam and Eve. Lovingly, our Eternal Father made provision to include earthlings in with the appointed times for all sacred days of the New Jerusalem.  It is mankind that has resisted this great gift of Yahuah’s astro-luni-solar time. As a result of their rebellious hearts, they have sought their own timekeeping systems and appointed times for worship that do not honor the Creator and Savior of mankind.  Was it not prophesied in both Isaiah 14:13-14 and Daniel 7:25 that the powers of the earth would change the “times” of the Creator?

Yahuah, at this pinnacle of time, is now requesting that all of His units of time be restored so that all His trusting followers everywhere may be in harmony with all of shamayim and His worship times. 

New Moon Day Preceding Creation

So how could our Creator, Yahuah, receive worship on New Moon Day if Earth’s moon was not even created until the fourth day?  For that matter, it had yet to be set and advanced into its proper time-centric phase and position in orchestration with the sun and stars.

The New Moon Day before the Creation of Earth was not involving the Earth’s moon at all, but the moon connected with Yahuah’s dwelling.  Earth’s moon is only a copy to keep us in sync with the unfallen worlds and the New Jerusalem itself.  Our Creator illustrates to earthlings that it was the “ New Jerusalem’s New Moon” and “her time” that set Earth’s clock, so to speak, by not even creating or advancing upon Earth’s sun, moon, or stars until the fourth day.  How else could we be certain that, indeed, the Earth’s time system was set according to the divine time of the New Jerusalem?  Yahuah is calling His dutiful followers to look up and return to His time principles that rule in the shamayim. 

Post a Watch over this Sacred Thing

“And guard His (Aleph and Tav) FIRST AND LAST [lunar phase] with a posted watch at the tabernacle of the assembly, as a token of evidence. And namely, post a guard over the kadosh (sacred and dedicated things), and keep watch of the sons of Aaron and others that minister unto the house of YAHUAH.”  1 Chronicles 23:32  

Verse 32 gives additional care instructions that identify the magnificent importance the Creator attaches to these time-keeping truths, as beaconed by the moon.

1. Guard and protect this sign-marker.
2. Post a watch at the place of assembly.
3. It is for a token of evidence.
4. Watch over this sacred and dedicated thing as a charge and service of the sons of Aaron (wilderness sanctuary).
5. The same charge is given for those who are to minister unto the Sanctuary of Yahuah (the temple above not made with hands).

It is only things of the greatest value on earth that have ever been guarded by a posted watch.  Yet the Creator of time itself has asked that mankind guard and protect His divinely “ordained measure of the moon” as it is the great “sign-marker” in the sky.

The idea of posting a watch at the place of assembly establishes a protocol for all to see and be taught the significance of this measuring tool.  It also identifies this method of defining time with the appointed time units themselves, a bond never to be broken.

It is this “ORDAINED MEASURE” that the Creator exclaims is a token of evidence. But what is it evidence?  It is evidence of Divine Design.  The earth was indeed created in six literal days sandwiched between the New Moon day and the seventh-day lunar Sabbath, and not thousands or millions of years.  It is evident that His sacred week is indeed a fruit of, and in fact, numbered from the New Moon.  It is evident that the King of the Universe, by His love, has provided earthlings with an invitation to participate with all the hosts above and all the unfallen worlds in coming to Mt. Zion (Yahuah’s sacred mountain of time) for all sanctified and set-apart worship days.  It is evident that upon this same time system, the Son of Yahuah met the criteria of the sacrificial LAMB and rose to become our mediating Melchizedek Kohen unto the forgiveness of sins for the restoration of fallen mankind.  It is the evidence that according to this same “ordained measure of time,” our Messiah will, one day soon, “stand up” and come forth from Yahuah’s Most Kadosh Place to receive His ready and obedient believers.  It is an illustrated truth that, by its intrinsic evidence, precludes our hopeful expectations.

While Aaron and his sons ministered unto the earthly sanctuary during the wilderness wandering and beyond, today Yahuah is calling His obedient everywhere to trustingly follow Him as He ministers in His temple above, not made with hands.  He beckons us to keep all His set-apart days as Kadosh and follow the work of His son, Yahusha, as He accomplishes our Salvation through our confession and His forgiveness. Doing so can only be accomplished upon the time-centric and preordained measure of the moon, the Eternal’s trustworthy witness in the sky (Psalms 89:37).

Was the Sabbath Really Changed from Saturday to Sunday?

Many have maintained that the only divinely ordained unit of time that has been compromised over the millennia was an altercation to change in the Sabbath, from Saturday to Sunday, on the Roman Julian calendar. This, they believe, was accomplished by the Roman Emperor Constantine in A.D. 324. The premise for this view comes from Daniel 7:23, which states:  “And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and THINK TO CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS . . .” 

While a Sabbath change did occur, it was NOT what you might think. This is because there are several factors at play here that have not been factored into the full mix of evidence so as to assemble a complete viewpoint.

1. The Hebrew terms for TIMES (H#2166 – זמנין zeman) and LAWS (H#1882 – דת dath), while singular, act as umbrella terms for plural TIMES and LAWS. This means that more than one Time and Law were prophesied to be altered.  And it appears to be ALL of the units of time have been changed. 
2. Neither the Julian, nor the modern Gregorian Roman calendars existed at the time of the Daniel 7 prophecy.
3. The modern Rabbinical Pharisee calendar did not exist among the Yahudim (Jews) at the time of the Daniel 7 prophecy.
4. The Scriptural calendar of Creation was entirely based upon the trinity of LIGHTS. It is apparent movements of the SUN, MOON, and STARS, from EARTH’S vantage point, commencing and terminating according to the correct signals that portray our Creator’s Calendar.
5. ALL THE CREATOR’S UNITS OF TIME WERE BASED UPON AND NUMBERED FROM ONE FULL NEW MOON TO THE NEXT FULL NEW MOON. This numbered count can be visually witnessed in the 29-30 lunar phases that uniquely demarcate each day of the lunar month.  The lunar months are then broken down into smaller units called lunar weeks (seven days long) that end with the Sabbath.
6. Ezekiel 46:1-3 identifies that both New Moon days and Seventh-day Sabbaths are worship days. (This is not taught today by any organized church or synagogue.  By extension it highlights the false prophets and teachers within their midst.)
7. History records exactly what was changed by Constantine.

Constantine never changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.  Prior to the edict that established Sunday as Rome’s “sacred” day, the Roman Julian week consisted of eight days, and not seven.  Saturday had, up until this edict, been the first day of their eight-day week that cycled without end. Stunningly, Saturday had NEVER been a sacred appointed Sabbath of either the Romans, the Jews, or our Creator.  The change or shift that was masterminded by Constantine was designed to forever “fix” a sacred solemnity to Sunday rather than to the lunar Sabbath of the Scriptures and the Israelites.  The Sabbath of the Israelites had always been determined according to astro-luni-solar time and had NEVER previously been associated with Saturday or an unbroken cycling week.

“In the mid-1^st century B.C. Julius Cæsar invited Sosigenes, an Alexandrian astronomer, to advise him about the reform of the [Roman lunar] calendar, and Sosigenes decided that the only practical step was to abandon the lunar calendar altogether. Months must be arranged on a seasonal basis, and a tropical (solar) year was used, as in the Egyptian calendar . . . .” The Julian Calendar,” Encyclopædia Britannica.

Under these two factors, the Julian week began a centuries-long evolutionary process that ended in the continuous weekly cycle utilized by nearly ALL the world today. The original seven-day planetary week is the third and final piece of the puzzle, proving that Saturday is not the Sabbath of Scripture, nor Sunday the first day of the creation week. This transformation took several hundred years. Franz Cumont, widely considered to be a great authority on Mithraism, links the acceptance of the seven-day week by Europeans to the popularity of Mithraism in pagan Rome:

“It is not to be doubted that the diffusion of the Iranian [Persian] mysteries has had a considerable part in the general adoption, by the pagans, of the week with the Sunday as a holy day. The names which we employ, unawares, for the other six days, came into use at the same time that Mithraism won its followers in the provinces in the West, and one is not rash in establishing a relation of coincidence between its triumph and that concomitant phenomenon.”  Franz Cumont, Textes et Monumnets Figures Relatifs aux Mysteres de Mithra, Vol. I, p. 112, as quoted in ibid, p. 156.

The establishment of a counterfeit calendar is the first step necessary for counterfeit worship, both of which were crafted at the famous Council of Nicaea.  Upon the premise that “the repulsive and revolting” Scriptural astro-luni-solar calendar of our Creator was replaced with the pagan solar calendar as a tribute to their gods. The planetary, continuous weekly cycle then replaced the lunar week, which had always been fixed to the count from the New Moon.

“This planetary week was paganism’s counterfeit of the true, Biblical week instituted by the Creator at the beginning of Earth’s history.  In the counterfeit week employed in ancient paganism, “the venerable day of the Sun” was esteemed by the heathen above the other six days because it was regarded as sacred to the Sun, the chief of the planetary deities . . . Just as the true Sabbath is inseparably linked with the Biblical [lunar] week, so the false Sabbath of pagan origin needed a weekly cycle.  Thus we have found that the planetary week of paganism is Sunday’s twin sister and that the two counterfeit institutions were linked together …” Odom, op. cit., p. 243-244, emphasis supplied.

When the historical and time-centric facts of the Julian calendar are comprehended, it becomes apparent that Sunday is not the only spurious worship day established upon paganism. Saturday, “dies Saturni,” is a counterfeit and spurious worship day.  The mere fact it is the seventh day of the modern week is evidence of its opposition to the true seventh-day Sabbath of Scripture. Both days are the fruit of a false, man-made calendar system. Therefore, neither Saturday nor Sunday can be the true Scriptural Sabbath.

“In 321 A.D., Constantine, emperor of Rome . . . by civil enactments made “the venerable day of the Sun,” which day was then “notable for its veneration,” the weekly rest day of the empire . . . The enforcement of the weekly observance of Sunday gave official recognition to the week of seven days and resulted in the introduction of it into the official civil calendar of Rome.  The Romans passed that calendar down to us, and in it we have still the ancient planetary titles of the days of the week.”  Odom, op. cit., p. 243-244, emphasis supplied.

In one fell swoop, a double deception was masterminded.  Constantine crafted not one but two major deceptions, and both are the spurious fruit of his instituted artificial calendar.  First, he changed the cycling eight-day week to a cycling seven-day week, creating an illusion that this “new week” and its calendar were indeed in harmony with Scripture. Second, he anointed Sunday of this new unbroken-cycling-week to be “sacred.” By so doing, he crafted the greatest deception of all.  Those students of Scripture and scholars of later generations to come would discover that the seventh day was ordained by Yahuah to be sacred and set apart, and not the first day.

But by default, they and their followers would adhere to “Saturday” as if it were suddenly sanctified, simply because it represented the seventh day on Rome’s calendar.  Thus, thinking they are in harmony with Scripture, many would cling to “Saturday,” believing it to be the true seventh-day Sabbath, as ordained from above.  All the while, the entire premise that the Roman “week” was in sync with Scripture became the “GREAT HIDDEN DECEPTION.” All will be brought to test over this question, as all have the opportunity to know the truth.  Each of the Creator’s units of time is beaconed by the orchestrated harmony of the sun, moon, and stars. In sharp contrast, Rome’s week floats through the Creator’s month with no connection whatever to the moon and its 30 lunar phases.

Has Rome changed any other ordained units of time? 

Scripture scholars will agree that Rome has also altered, for her own edification, the year, month, and day.  Roman time dictates that the “year” commences in winter, the “calends/kalends” (Roman months) were crafted according to her arbitrary whim and are not fixed to the moon, and “days” are to commence at midnight.  All the while, Scripture testifies from cover to cover that Yahuah ordained the year to commence in spring (Exodus 12:1-3), the month is to commence at the New Moon lunar phase (Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 46:1), and the “day” was ordained to be twelve hours in length and commence at sunrise. From the rising of the sun to its going down Yahuah’s name is to be praised. Psalms 113:3 NKJV

The Mighty One, Alahim Yahuah, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, Alahim will shine forth.  Psalms 50:1-2 NKJV

For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering; for My name shall be great among the nations,” says Yahuah of hosts.  Malachi 1:11 NKJV

Yahusha answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. John 11:9 NKJV 

Note to the reader— Before you are tempted to dismiss this as in error because you’ve been taught to believe the “day” commences at sunset, and believe the Sabbath is placed according to Roman cycling weeks, think again. All have been taught wrong, as Scripture defines that “ALL THE WORLD WONDERED AFTER THE BEAST.” The reformation is still marching forward and will continue until the return of our Redeemer, Yahusha. Take this opportunity to challenge your current paradigms, as knowledge is increasing and truths are becoming plain. Let not one doctrinal stone be left unturned in the search for truth (Acts 17:11), as the last conflict and your ETERNAL DESTINY will be won or lost over time.

In the parable of Matthew 25:1-13, the call went out, “Behold the Bridegroom is coming, go you out to meet Him!” Yet when all ten virgins awoke, only the wise virgins had the oil of the Ruach ha Kadosh (Holy Spirit), which alone leads into and restores all truth.  They alone arrived at the appointed time when the door was open. While the foolish virgins were busy seeking to buy oil in a hurry that would light their path to the door, the door was shut. 

This story represents the predicament of the whole world today.  All the world has been following a variation of false calendar methods associated with a variety of religious views.  Yet, now the Ruach ha Kadosh (Holy Spirit) is restoring His truths so that those who hear His voice will adhere and arrive at the appointed time when the door is open.
