While You Were Sleeping

A call to awaken from centuries of inherited calendar tradition and rediscover Yahuah’s original timekeeping pattern and worship rhythm, written in the sun, moon, and stars.
While you were sleeping, the heavens still turned,
The sun kept its pathway, the midnight stars burned.
The moon crossed the darkness from east unto west,
Still keeping the rhythm the Creator had blessed.
While you were sleeping, four weeks lost their end,
Then cycled unbroken, again and again.
The months were no longer by moonlight defined,
When lunar phases faded from memory and time.
Pre-Chorus
While nations were sleeping, the changes were made,
Caesar commanded, and kingdoms obeyed.
Constantine followed, and Gregory came,
Till calendars hardened and customs remained.
Chorus
While you were sleeping, the world changed its time,
Trading the sun, moon, and stars for numbers and lines.
While you were sleeping, the moon disappeared,
And customs seemed sacred after hundreds of years.
But the heavens kept shining; the witness remained,
Through empires that vanished and rulers who reigned.
Now a voice through the darkness is calling again:
“Wake up, My people, and look to the heavens.”
Verse 2
So little was written when time was exchanged,
No trumpet was sounded, no warning proclaimed.
The tradition grew stronger as centuries passed,
Till what once seemed foreign felt ancient at last.
Yah’s Feast Days were scattered, the full moon dismissed,
The sacred appointments faded into the mist.
Then generations were born never knowing the loss,
Trusting the wall calendar was Yah’s very own clock.
Bridge
Look up! Look up! The lights mark His time,
So the faithful awaken, return, and align.
The kingdoms may alter the calendars of men,
But no earthly ruler can rewrite the heavens.
Final Chorus
While you were sleeping, the centuries flew,
But the sun, moon, and stars kept declaring what’s true.
While you were sleeping, His full moon stood bright,
Waiting for hearts that would wake to its light.
The Bride hears the calling, her lamp burning bright:
“Come out of your darkness and walk in My light.”
The full moon is speaking, its timing is clear:
Wake from your sleeping; the Bridegroom draws near.
